One of the most common known genocides is the Holocaust. The term "holocaust" is used to describe the killing of about 6 million Jews. Adolph Hitler was the main leader of this. He mainly focused on Jews, but included some other people also. The holocaust began in 1933, when Hitler came into power in Germany, and ended in 1945. An estimated 1.1 million children were killed. Yes, the U.S. should do things when they see things like this beginning. This is wrong, and we, in order to keep it from becoming to big, should interfere to stop it. If the United States would have stepped in a lot faster, this wouldn't have been as bad. When the U.S. decided to step in, many Jews were already killed.

Last friday, at about 9 p.m. U.S. Park Police and the Secret Service investigated a shooting towards the white house. They were shot 700 to 800 yards from the white house. The bullet got stopped by a bulletproof window. The Secret Service is investigating whether the bullet fired is connected to a shooting nearby. A Secret Service official said there is no specific concern for President Barack Obama's safety. Within 5 minutes, officers located a vehicle in the 2300 block of Constitution Avenue. Evidence in the vehicle led to a arrest warrant out to Oscar Ortega-Hernandez. A weapon registered to Oscar was found in the vehicle. Oscar Ortega is described as a 21 year old hispanic male. After they interviewed people Oscar knew, they came to the conclusion that he had a direction of interest towards the house.

They Keystone Pipeline is a big pipeline that, once completed, will transport oil from Alberta, Canada, to the Texas coast. Its going to be a 1700 mile long pipeline. It has faced lawsuits from oil refineries and criticism from environmentalist. It has also faced criticism from some members of the United States Congress. This could hurt the United States because it will cost 7 billion dollars, once completed. We are already in debt, 7 Billion more dollars would not help that out. Many people are protesting because of this. People say the project would damage the environment for generations. Most protests are around the white house. 10,000 opponents surround it, claiming that the pipeline will just be bad for the environment. This is a risky method of producing dirty energy. Overall, the final decision on what will be done has not been made.

Global warming is feared by many people around the world. Many people believe the world will come to a end because of all the pollution being put out. Evidence of Global warming is ice the polar bears live and stay on, is slowly melting. This animals, and many more, will come extinct if this problem keeps growing. Yes, I believe its true. I feel like people need to be more careful and actually start taking care of the world. A lot of companies who produce a lot of pollution should be shut down. The world will end very quickly if nothing is done. Many people don't believe this will happen, even after the the evidence thats shown. The world should come together on this issue, ignore conflicts, and solve this.

The protest for Wall Street turned violent. They got arrested during the march for disorder conduct. At one point, the protesters were reportedly maced and threatened with police batons when 150 marchers demanded access to wall street. This protest in New York started on Sep 17, and spread to other cities. In Los Angeles, police began to arrest a anti-wall street group. Demonstrators also camp out on Los Angeles for the past week. The protesters speak largely about unemployment and other issues. Some unions were donating food, blankets, and office space for the protesters.
I think police need to do more about the protests. They should get the people off the streets, since their is nothing they can do to help them. Its a good thing that the unions are helping them out. Their donations to the protesters help them out tremendously. The protesters have reason to be protesting though, but when they get violent police forces should step in and break it. The protesters should know their rights, but not do too much like disorder conduct. Protesters around the country are showing their support. All the protests are not located in New York, they are around the city. The government needs to find a solution for this, as soon as possible, before it gets too violent.

Accused celebrity hacker: 'I deeply apologize.... it eats at me'.
A man accused of hacking celebrities online accounts, showing private images, apologized. He claims he was addicted to this and couldn't stop. His name is Christopher Chaney. Federal authorities accuse the 35-year-old of hacking onto computers and other devices, invading this celebrities privacy. He got access to nude celebrity photos, and uploaded them on the internet. He accessed pictures of more then 50 people. Chaney also took financial information from the people. Some of the celebrities he attacked was Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilar. A recent nude photo of Scarlett Johannsson is part of the investigation. The FBI arrested him for the case "Operation Hackerazzi."
I think what he was doing was completely wrong. He should do a lot of time in Jail, especially since some of his victims were celebrities. In this society, although its wrong its true, most people see the crime a lot worst if a celebrity is involved. He was a well trained individual, and the FBI needs to look for more people like him. He was trained to get into peoples privacy easily, invading their financial information also. He claims he was addicted to this and couldn't stop, but he is just saying this for his defense. He could have stopped, he didn't have to, he is just trying to get free. Even after getting arrested, the actors and other victims involved in this will still suffer. Their nude pictures are out on the web.

Blog 8 Healthcare in the U.S
Their is a lot of problems in the healthcare system today. For example, insurance companies have the right to decline a request, after they have accepted it and the person needs medical help. If a person gets seriously sick and needs medical attention, his insurance company will try to find any reason to drop them, and make them pay for the bill themselves. The system is bad. Their should be laws that should deal with this. If a insurance company accepts somebody, they should have to keep them, no matter what they find out later on. This would be a good solution for one part of the healthcare system.

In College Inc. i saw that Universities are using tactics to get people into the college. Their is some colleges that make their money, this colleges hire people to sit down and call people to get them into the university. The University of Phoenix is like this, they have more then 1 university throughout the country. Not everybody needs to go to college. If people chose not to go to college and find a job with just their diploma then its their choice. People need to fill up jobs that you wont need to go to college for, in order to keep the society going. After high school I'm going to work for a year before starting college.

Their were many events that led up to the terrorist attack that occurred on september 11, 2001. To begin with, before the attack on 9/11, the same team who did this on 9/11, tried to bring down the towers before. They bombed the bottom of one of the towers, but failed to bring it down. This attack could have been prevented. People could have been more aware of it, if they attacked it before and failed, they were going to try again. The U.S. has been paying attention more to terrorism since the event.

Americans with a severe mental illness who break the law are being sent away to state prisons, instead of psychiatric hospitals. They just send them to the prisons, and try to help them out in their. They give them professionals who can help them, while they are serving their time. A lot of mental institutions in the U.S have closed, leaving the mentally ill out in the streets. And they are not capable of living on their own, so they end up breaking laws. States should open more hospitals for this people, and giving them a place to heal. Rather then leaving them out on the streets, knowing they will end up breaking rules. Their were many problems with the people in this places, including bipolar, illusions

I think this wont affect the military much. With the "don't ask don't tell" people serving in the military can now say they are gay without the fear of investigation or discharge. This wont matter because people in the military before this rule were probably still aware of other members that were gay. I think this will help out the military because other members will now want to join, after knowing this is now in place.

Blog 3 part 1
The three most convincing arguments in Capital Punishment is that the death penalty is a morally acceptable punishment for murder. In fact, it is morally wrong not to execute the murderer because this is the only acceptable punishment. Another argument for this is that the death penalty is done for murder, not killing. If you kill somebody from self defense you wouldn't get charged the death penalty. Also, just sending a murderer to jail wont be a good enough punishment for somebody who has murdered. People believe that its wrong, but we must execute murders to show people that killing is wrong. Although their is many reasons for Capital Punishment, there is even more reasons against it. For example, people claim we wouldn't rape a rapist, so why kill a murderer? Also, people say that if a person is executed, and later they find the evidence to prove he is innocent, their is nothing we can do anymore. Another reason against the death penalty is it cannot be separated from human rights.

In the WM3, 3 teenagers were convicted for the murder of
kids. They had little evidence in the begging, except the confession of one of
the teenagers, who later denies it. They had no other evidence to show that the
teenagers committed the crime. I don't think justice was served because they
didn't have as much evidence that they need to convict the 3 teenagers.

The crime that happened in this case was difficult. Two FBI agents followed Indians into their reservation and started a shoot out. The two FBI agents were in plain clothes, so nobody knew that they were agents when they were shooting at them. Also, the two indians were being shot at, so the other indians started shooting at the FBI agents to help them out. In this case, the indians who killed the agents served time, while some officers who killed indians served no time. Also, the agents said they were following a truck into the reservation, and later changed it to a van. The evidence was all wrong, and the indians convicted were innocent in many peoples eyes, while the officers who shot the indians were obviously guilty.
Blog 3 Part 2
I think the death penalty should only be used when they are completely sure the person is guilty. They must have all the evidence they need, even more then a confession. With Todd, they didn't have enough proof. And after he was killed in his death penalty, more then half a dozen people believed he was innocent. And then before he got killed, cursed at his wife, so people believed he was a bad person because of that. In the future, in order to be sentenced to a death penalty, i think the court must have all the evidence they need, and enough. Their must not be any un answered questions, if people believe he is innocent they should look more into it.
