In College Inc. i saw that Universities are using tactics to get people into the college. Their is some colleges that make their money, this colleges hire people to sit down and call people to get them into the university. The University of Phoenix is like this, they have more then 1 university throughout the country. Not everybody needs to go to college. If people chose not to go to college and find a job with just their diploma then its their choice. People need to fill up jobs that you wont need to go to college for, in order to keep the society going. After high school I'm going to work for a year before starting college.

Their were many events that led up to the terrorist attack that occurred on september 11, 2001. To begin with, before the attack on 9/11, the same team who did this on 9/11, tried to bring down the towers before. They bombed the bottom of one of the towers, but failed to bring it down. This attack could have been prevented. People could have been more aware of it, if they attacked it before and failed, they were going to try again. The U.S. has been paying attention more to terrorism since the event.

Americans with a severe mental illness who break the law are being sent away to state prisons, instead of psychiatric hospitals. They just send them to the prisons, and try to help them out in their. They give them professionals who can help them, while they are serving their time. A lot of mental institutions in the U.S have closed, leaving the mentally ill out in the streets. And they are not capable of living on their own, so they end up breaking laws. States should open more hospitals for this people, and giving them a place to heal. Rather then leaving them out on the streets, knowing they will end up breaking rules. Their were many problems with the people in this places, including bipolar, illusions

I think this wont affect the military much. With the "don't ask don't tell" people serving in the military can now say they are gay without the fear of investigation or discharge. This wont matter because people in the military before this rule were probably still aware of other members that were gay. I think this will help out the military because other members will now want to join, after knowing this is now in place.

Blog 3 part 1

The three most convincing arguments in Capital Punishment is that the death penalty is a morally acceptable punishment for murder. In fact, it is morally wrong not to execute the murderer because this is  the only acceptable punishment. Another argument for this is that the death penalty is done for murder, not killing. If you kill somebody from self defense you wouldn't get charged the death penalty. Also, just sending a murderer to jail wont be a good enough punishment for somebody who has murdered. People believe that its wrong, but we must execute murders to show people that killing is wrong. Although their is many reasons for Capital Punishment, there is even more reasons against it. For example, people claim we wouldn't rape a rapist, so why kill a murderer? Also, people say that if a person is executed, and later they find the evidence to prove he is innocent, their is nothing we can do anymore. Another reason against the death penalty is it cannot be separated from human rights.

In the WM3, 3 teenagers were convicted for the murder of kids. They had little evidence in the begging, except the confession of one of the teenagers, who later denies it. They had no other evidence to show that the teenagers committed the crime. I don't think justice was served because they didn't have as much evidence that they need to convict the 3 teenagers.

The crime that happened in this case was difficult. Two FBI agents followed Indians into their reservation and started a shoot out. The two FBI agents were in plain clothes, so nobody knew  that they were agents when they were shooting at them. Also, the two indians were being shot at, so the other indians started shooting at the FBI agents to help them out. In this case, the indians who killed the agents served time, while some officers who killed indians served no time. Also, the agents said they were following a truck into the reservation, and later changed it to a van. The evidence was all wrong, and the indians convicted were innocent in many peoples eyes, while the officers who shot the indians were obviously guilty.

I think the death penalty should only be used when they are completely sure the person is guilty. They must have all the evidence they need, even more then a confession. With Todd, they didn't have enough proof. And after he was killed in his death penalty, more then half a dozen people believed he was innocent. And then before he got killed, cursed at his wife, so people believed he was a bad person because of that. In the future, in order to be sentenced to a death penalty, i think the court must have all the evidence they need, and enough. Their must not be any un answered questions, if people believe he is innocent they should look more into it.
